At Breckenridge Ski & Sport, we can answer any questions you may have about what to look for in a beginner ski rental, like how a softer or medium flex allows for easier turns and reduces the risk of catching an edge, and how a slightly shorter ski will allow you to have more control over turning and maneuvering. We will also walk you through how we’re setting your skis for maximum control and teach you how to make your boots fit perfectly, making your day on the mountain fun and comfortable!
Not all skis are created equally. As you gain experience, you’ll learn to prefer certain lengths, widths, cambers, and more! Until you’ve had the time to try lots of skis out, experience different snow conditions, and get comfortable on the mountain, you’ll find that our Sport Ski Package from HEAD, will give you the confidence you need to be tearing up the mountain in no time!

HEAD Sport Beginner & Youth Skis
Breckenridge Ski Resort offers a variety of beginner terrain and lesson options for those who are new to skiing.
The resort has several designated beginner areas, including the Quicksilver Super6 chairlift, which services a gentle slope perfect for first-timers. Additionally, the Peak 9 base area has a beginner terrain park with small features that are great for practicing turns and gaining confidence.
For those looking to take lessons, Breckenridge Ski Resort has a variety of options to choose from. The Ski & Snowboard School offers group and private lessons for adults and children. Group lessons are a great way to meet other beginners and learn in a social environment, while private lessons offer personalized attention and one-on-one instruction. For children ages 3-14, the resort offers a Kids Ski Free program, where kids can ski for free with the purchase of a multi-day adult lift ticket.
